Problem Note 66897: The SAS MultiVendor Architecture™ JDBC driver in the sas.svc.connection.jar file does not return the table name
The SAS MultiVendor Architecture™ JDBC driver in sas.svc.connection.jar does not return the table name.
For example, consider two tables, ANALYSIS and ANALYSIS_A, both of which exist in PostgreSQL database tables and in SAS data sets. When the JDBC metadata API call DatabaseMetaData.getTables() is made in the PostgreSQL database to determine whether the ANALYSIS table exists, the PostgreSQL driver correctly returns a single result with the name ANALYSIS, as shown here:
However, when a DatabaseMetaData.getTables()call is made to SAS data sets using the MutliVendor Architecture JDBC driver, no results are returned.
This call should return the same result as that of the PostgreSQL driver. In this case, the driver does not return the correct result because the ANALYSIS table name does not contain an underscore. However, the correct result is returned for the ANALYSIS_A table because the table name does contain an underscore.
For information about a similar problem, see SAS Note 66851, "The MVA™ driver in SAS® 9.4M7 (TS1M7) might cause issues with the StageFM library and with dimension exports."
There is no workaround for this problem.
A hot fix is planned for this issue.
